Rosendin Electric Receives National 2011 Transportation Design-Build Excellence Award from DBIA

Design-Build Institute of America Singles Out Mineta San Jose International Airport Terminal Renovation Project as Best in Class.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (October 27, 2011) -- Rosendin Electric (http://www.rosendin.com), the nation’s largest private electrical contractor and a 100% employee-owned company, has received a 2011 National Design-Build Award in Transportation from the Design-Build Institute of America in recognition for their work as a Specialty Contractor in the Mineta San Jose International Airport renovation project. The award was announced last week at the 2011 Design-Build Conference & Expo held in Orlando, Florida.

Rosendin Electric was responsible for installing new 12-kilovolt power systems for Terminal A, Terminal B, and the consolidated rent-a-car facility (ConRAC), a new security system, a new baggage handling system, telecommunications, a security camera system, and lighting controls. The contract also included all the emergency life safety power systems, a new campus-wide fire alarm system, energy efficient LED lighting in the existing Terminal A garage, traffic controls systems for the airport roadway, new passenger security check points, and new passenger boarding bridges. Rosendin Electric also installed more than 40,000 LED lights that can be programmed to provide a variety of lighting themes in a new meeter greeter area in Terminal A, where people can wait for arriving passengers. The new Terminal B Concourse received LEED® Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainability features such as occupancy lighting sensors, a programmable lighting control system, and “smart” heating and cooling systems.

The $1.3 billion San Jose International Airport project featured more than $100 million in electrical work, which included construction of the new 1.8 million square-foot ConRAC and installation of the 1.12 megawatt photovoltaic (PV) solar system on the parking garage roof. At various project milestones, Rosendin Electric had more than 120 union electricians employed, with an average of 250,000 man hours.

To be considered for a National Design-Build Award, a project must demonstrate the successful application of design-build best practices as defined by the DBIA Design-Build Manual of Practice. Best practices include early integration of key team members during the proposal process via a proposal charrette or other collaborative outreach effort, as well as close coordination between design and construction team members from the design development stage through field construction.

IAPAM confirms that Botox ® Training Remains Strong Despite Economy

The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposiums trains physicians on how to safely, profitably and successfully add botox ®, hCG medical weight loss, and other aesthetic modalities (lasers for skin rejuvenation, microdermabrasion and medical-grade chemical peels) to an existing medical practice, or to launch a medical spa. The IAPAM helps physicians enter this lucrative market by offering the industry’s best botox ® training and hCG training in sunny Scottsdale, AZ. To date, all of the 2011 IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium events have sold out.

Las Vegas, NV, October 27, 2011 -- The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com) has long offered physicians a competitive advantage through its comprehensive, hands-on, “immersion” into the field of aesthetic medicine. The IAPAM’s (http://www.iapam.com) Symposium is the only program which gives physicians an opportunity to learn from two board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables. In order to ensure doctors learn the best injection techniques, the botox ® training is done in a medical practice, not in a hotel room chair. In addition, the Symposium does not allow exhibitors, giving physicians more time for education.

Physicians who attend the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium can revisit their educational experience by using the IAPAM’s NEW 3 comprehensive clinical training DVDs. This DVD set offers focused instruction and demonstrations on Botulinum Toxin (Botox ®) Injection Techniques, Dermal Filler Injection Techniques, Chemical Peel Techniques, and Microdermabrasion Techniques. The three DVD’s cover three key anti-aging treatment areas:

1. Botulinum Toxin for Cosmetic Patients lecture.
2. Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers for Cosmetic Patients - live demonstration.
3. Chemical Peel and Microdermabrasion live demonstration of techniques.

Equally, Symposium attendees receive 16 Cosmetic Practice training DVDs. These resources allow physicians and their staff to re-immerse themselves in the IAPAM’s training at their convenience.

The popularity of the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium is consistent with the demand by physicians for expert and accredited cosmetic injectable training. Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM has witnessed the tremendous growth of minimally-invasive modalities. “We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox ®, dermal fillers as well as microdermabrasion have exploded in demand, and we are seeing a correlating increase in the demand for our botox ® training. Moreover, physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox ® treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, and organizations like the IAPAM educate doctors on how to package treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes.”

AlphaStaff Launches People Solutions Tool

Diagnostic Tool to Help AlphaStaff Brokers Identify Areas of Focus for Businesses.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - October 27, 2011 -- AlphaStaff Group, Inc. (“AlphaStaff”), one of the nation’s largest professional employer organizations (PEO), and the only national PEO to work exclusively in partnership with insurance brokers, recently launched People Solutions Tool. The announcement was made by Joseph DeRosa, executive vice president of small and medium business sales and marketing.

The People Solutions Tool was created exclusively for AlphaStaff’s broker partners. This tool enhances AlphaStaff’s unique broker/client engagement process by providing custom client reports showing how shared-employment can provide value as well as solutions to their specific business’ needs. The Tool includes access to a rating system that generates a report distinct to the individual’s inputs and provides best practice information, how shared employment can lower their people-related costs and lower their risks. The report further identifies the six ways shared-employment can pay off from most important to least important to their specific needs. The six areas are:

1. Consolidate and streamline human resource systems
2. Reduce workers’ compensation exposure and costs
3. Simplify and enhance human resource processes
4. Reduce unemployment taxes and insurance
5. Rationalize cost of providing benefits
6. Reduce legal, settlement and compliance costs

I am excited to provide our broker partners access to a proprietary diagnostic tool that assesses a client’s unique people-related needs and identify opportunities where a PEO can add substantial value,” said DeRosa. “This is one of many tools we are currently working on to provide additional value to our broker partners to better position them for growth. The People Solutions Tools is a great start for our trusted advisors and we have more to offer in the near future that will keep our brokers and client delighted.”

AlphaStaff recently unveiled its new small and medium business broker compensation program as another tool to help brokers create additional revenue, while enhancing their product mix through AlphaStaff.
