2011 Statistics Confirm that Botox ® Training Helps Physicians Capture Industry's 5% Growth

The IAPAM offers physicians aesthetic training, the leading botox ® training, hCG training, and associated aesthetic medicine education (including training on lasers for skin rejuvenation and hair removal, medical microdermabrasion and medical grade chemical peels). The IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium offers the most comprehensive medical spa training, including: hands on, live demonstration and didactic instruction in all 5 of the top non-invasive procedures and offers unparalleled business support to physicians as they build successful aesthetic medical practices and capture the reported 5% growth in the minimally-invasive market in 2011.

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 18, 2012) -- “With these economic times, more people are turning to the more inexpensive non-invasive procedures rather than surgical cosmetic procedures. They may not get the long term benefits of a face lift, but with a combination treatment of Botox ® and dermal fillers, then can get a great result at a fraction of the price,” says Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (http://www.iapam.com). As evidenced in 2011 statistical reports, patients agree. In the recent report from The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), minimally-invasive procedures increased for the second year in a row by 5 percent in 2011, with nearly 13.8 million procedures being performed, and “minimally-invasive procedures increased 6 percent, with nearly 12.2 million procedures in 2011.”

As in 2010, in 2011, the top five minimally-invasive procedures were:

Botulinum toxin type A (5.7 million procedures, up 5 percent)
Soft tissue fillers (1.9 million procedures, up 7 percent)
Chemical peel (1.1 million procedures, down 3 percent)
Laser hair removal (1.1 million procedures, up 15 percent)
Microdermabrasion (900,000 procedures, up 9 percent)

We are seeing notable increases in surgical procedures, such as facelifts, that reflect the demands of an aging boomer population,” said Dr. Malcolm Z. Roth, President of the ASPS. “However, the overall growth in cosmetic procedures is being primarily driven by a substantial rise in minimally-invasive procedures.”

Jeff Russell concurs with the findings of the aforementioned report. “We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox ® and other cosmetic injectables, medically supervised hCG weight loss (http://www.hcgtraining.com) as well as laser training, microdermabrasion and chemical peels are in tremendous demand by patients, and we are seeing a correlating increase in the demand for our training. Registration for our cornerstone training program, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox ® Training (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com), has steadily increased in the last 6 months. Physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox ® treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Organizations, like the IAPAM, educate physicians on how to package these treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes.”

In line with these findings, the IAPAM’s Aesthetic Medicine Symposium provides a forum for physicians to immerse themselves in training on these top 5 minimally invasive procedures. Leading the faculty is a team of renowned cosmetic dermatologists who cover aesthetic patient consultations, facial anatomy & musculature, product preparation, pain management, procedural protocols, post treatment issues and continuing practice support. Unlike other programs, the Botox ® Training is done in a clean, multi-million dollar medical facility, not a hotel room chair. Physicians who have completed the IAPAM’s hCG Training, Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or Aesthetic Practice Business Start-Up training have a competitive advantage.

For more information on the IAPAM’s upcoming Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or hCG Training, please see http://www.iapam.com or contact the IAPAM at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 704.

IHOP 2012 National Pancake Day to Benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children

Feb. 28: enjoy free pancakes and help Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Tampa, FL, February 18, 2012 -- On Feb. 28, The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) will celebrate National Pancake Day by offering guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes*. With every short stack of pancakes served, diners will be invited to make a donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children®. The IHOP restaurants that have chosen Shriners Hospitals for Children as the beneficiary of this event are primarily located in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.

Texas Governor Rick Perry and first lady Anita Perry expressed their support of National Pancake Day and the efforts of Shriners International, the fraternity that founded and continues to support Shriners Hospitals for Children. “I commend everyone involved in making this event a reality. I know you will all enjoy your free IHOP pancakes, and I hope you will also all give generously to assist the Shriners in helping even more children,” wrote Gov. Perry.

The restaurant chain has set an ambitious goal of raising $2.7 million in this one-day event, which will take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to raising funds, the campaign will raise awareness of Shriners Hospitals for Children, a 22-hospital health care system - founded by the Shriners International fraternity - that provides children with the best available pediatric specialty care regardless of the ability to pay for services. Nearly 1 million children have benefited from the unique approach to health care offered by Shriners Hospitals for Children, and gone on to live happy, fulfilled lives.

We appreciate the efforts of IHOP to bring people together for an enjoyable meal and time together on behalf of Shriners Hospitals for Children,” said Douglas E. Maxwell, president and CEO of Shriners Hospitals for Children. “The opportunity to spread awareness and raise funds provided by IHOP for our incredible health care system is greatly appreciated, and we are hoping for tremendous success and support from the communities involved.”

Everyone loves pancakes - and children - celebrate them both on National Pancake Day by visiting your local IHOP restaurant and donating to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Artist Russell Rowland Now Light Space & Time's Featured Artist

Artist Russell Rowland is now the gallery's featured artist and he will be showcased on their website for the next 30 days.

Jupiter, Florida - February 18, 2012 -- Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that artist Russell Rowland is now the gallery's featured artist and he will be showcased on their website for the next 30 days.

Russell Rowland is a freelance art photographer based in the New York City area. Russ began his creative career as a successful executive in the public relations field, where he specialized in providing PR services to consumer and high-tech companies. After a flourishing career in marketing, Russ reinvented himself and embarked on a career as a professional photographer. Russ always had a love for images, as a little boy he would spend hours looking through his parent’s art books mesmerized by paintings of all kinds.

Russell states about his photography "I constantly slip and refer to photographs of as paintings, which isn't surprising because I see myself less as a photographer and more as an image maker. I believe that distinction frees me to put the end image before any concerns about capturing or staying within the bounds of "reality." The only exception is when I am shooting documentary or journalistic subjects like theater productions or Occupy Wall Street.”

As his website states about Russ's work "I photograph the things that I cannot paint or put into words." He is one of the Founding Members of the Melting Shot Photo Collective. This creative group was formed by 5 dedicated photographers who live, work and play in different places around the globe.

Take some time to look at Russell Rowland's bright, imaginative and thought provoking portfolio at http://www.rrsnapshop.com.
