Botox Training is Essential in Capturing Facial Aesthetics Market

The IAPAM offers the industry's leading botox training and associated facial aesthetics medicine education (including training on lasers for skin rejuvenation and hair removal, medical microdermabrasion and medical grade chemical peels) for physicians. The IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium offers the most comprehensive, hands on, live demonstration and didactic instruction in botox as well as all 5 of the top non-invasive procedures and offers unparalleled business support to physicians as they build successful aesthetic medicine practices and capture the reported 5% growth in the minimally-invasive market in 2010.

Las Vegas, NV, May 18, 2011 -- The market for facial aesthetics continues to grow, as evidenced in reports, like the recent 2010 Statistics from the ASPS, and the 1Q 2011 earnings discussion by executives from Allergan, makers of Botox, Latisse and Juvederm. Perennially, the top 5 minimally-invasive procedures are:

Botulinum toxin type A (5.4 million)
Soft tissue fillers (1.8 million)
Chemical peels (1.1 million)
Laser hair removal (938,000)
Microdermabrasion (825,000)

Botox Treatments Remain Robust

"Injectables have remained robust despite the economy," said ASPS President Dr. Haeck. "Botox and Dysport injections are up 12 percent." David Pyott, Chairman and CEO of Allergan agrees that the facial aesthetic market is healthy. "It would seem that the dermal filler market is growing very strongly worldwide with more consumers entering the market given the comfort of the latest generation of lidocaine-containing hyaluronic acid products and more syringes being used per face. At the leading medical conventions around the world, there are increasing numbers of papers and symposia on the use of dermal fillers, especially for volumizing."

Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine (http://www.iapam.com), concurs with the aforementioned findings. "We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox and other cosmetic injectables, medically supervised hCG weight loss as well as laser training, microdermabrasion and chemical peels are in tremendous demand by patients, and we are seeing a correlating increase in the demand for our training. Registration for our cornerstone training program, the IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com), has dramatically increased in the last 6 months. Physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Organizations, like the IAPAM, educate physicians on how to package these treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes."

In line with these findings, the IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium provides a forum for physicians to immerse themselves in training on these top 5 minimally invasive procedures. Leading the faculty is a team of renowned cosmetic dermatologists who cover aesthetic patient consultations, facial anatomy & musculature, product preparation, pain management, procedural protocols, post treatment issues and continuing practice support. Unlike other programs, the Botox Training is done in a clean, multi-million dollar medical facility, not a hotel room chair. Doctors who have completed the IAPAM's Weight Loss, Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or Aesthetic Practice Business Start-Up training have a competitive advantage.

For more information on the IAPAM's upcoming Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or hCG/Physician Weight Loss Training, please see http://www.iapam.com or http://www.iapam.com/botoxtraining.html or contact the IAPAM at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 704.

Online Shopping Mall Offers Unique Shopping Experience and Affordable Advertising

Established entrepreneur and work-at-home-mom Katie Newman, owner of Katie Newman Gifts & Home, recently launched a new online shopping mall, Sassy Shops. The site is more than a directory and offers many affordable promotion opportunities to small online shops.

Houston, TX, May 18, 2011 -- Established entrepreneur and work-at-home-mom Katie Newman, owner of Katie Newman Gifts & Home, recently launched a new online shopping mall, Sassy Shops. The site is more than a directory and offers many affordable promotion opportunities to small online shops.

I am constantly working to promote not just the mall itself but the individual businesses as well,” said Newman.

Sassy Shops goes beyond the typical online craft malls. In addition to the listings in the gift shops directory, businesses are promoted through social media, advertisements, blogging, forums and more.

According to Newman, the mall offers affordable advertising for small online shops. “The members receive promotion on an ongoing basis and our rates are extremely competitive compared to most online malls,” she said.

In addition, Sassy Shops often offers special discounts on their already low prices. Business owners are often overwhelmed and Newman understands their need to focus on products, customers and wholesalers. “We understand that time is valuable and we take care of marketing so that they can focus on more important tasks,” she said.

Newman is proud of the unique shopping experience that she is able to offer customers. Sassy Shops offers a multitude of products from various vendors, in one easy to find location. The large variety of products include baby, kids, bath, home, holiday, jewelry items and much more. Katie Newman Gifts & Home was founded by Newman nine years ago. “I love being a mom entrepreneur,” she said. “I really love helping others succeed in business and I am a strong advocate of the work at home parent.”

Newman, the founder and owner of Sassy Shops, can be reached for comment at shopwithkatie@earthlink.net or at 281.852.9524.
