Innovation Discovery Launches the First World-Wide Database of Innovations

Innovation Discovery brings the future into our homes, now!

San Diego, CA, USA -- Innovation Discovery is developing the first world-wide database of innovations and has launched on the web the core to collect innovations. The futuristic platform will be designed to foster awareness and adoption of product innovations and new technologies. It is a unique solution to fill the gaps between the existing innovations and the innovations we use.

The aim is to connect worldwide potential customers to innovations and technologies and make them more diffused and successful. When you join "Innovation Discovery," you gain access to innovations, technologies, innovative talents, dealers, installers, consultants, joint venture partners, updates, and insights that help you to live in the future now.

The platform in development will be connections between innovations, and companies providing innovative products. It will be split in two parts:

A front-end, consumer oriented, presented as a Wikipedia style, organised in categories with the innovations details and the benefits of their adoption.
A back-end, business oriented, presented in a LinkedIn style, to establish networking between innovations, companies, dealers/installers, and professionals/consultants.

Carlo Rivis, CEO and founder of Innovation Discovery has more than 15 years of experience in Technology and Innovations and has founded different companies in Italy (EU) and U.S. traveling and working half western world noticing how people do not buy the best choice, but the improved version of something they already know. It does not matter if they can save money; most of the time they do not trust the seller or are too frightened to risk a change, so they buy the thing they are already familiar with.

For years he has thought about this discrepancy: many new innovations that help in reducing costs and improving the quality of life exist, so why people do not use them? At the end he found the answer: because of missing knowledge, fear of risk, and sticking to habits. He hopes the platform will empower users to save money/time, reduce consumption, improve sustainability and improve performances; for a better quality of life for everybody.

Jack Turner Productions To Hold Reading Of "Lube: A Modern Love Story" At San Diego's LGBT Center

Gay-themed musical provides positive role models for young gay adults.

San Diego, CA, USA -- Jack Turner, local playwright and lyricist, is holding the first public Reading of "LUBE: A MODERN LOVE STORY," a gay-themed, Broadway-style musical, at San Diego's LGBT Center on October 1st, 2016, 7 pm. All twenty-four of the songs written by composer Brandon Bowerman for the show will be played during the event, with many of the tunes making their world-premiere debut.

"LUBE: A MODERN LOVE STORY" is the first of a new genre of musical theater. It's a gay-themed play, written by a gay man with music composed by a gay composer, but intended for gay and gay-supportive audiences. "LUBE" is a musical comedy that takes a serious look at growing up gay, including the decision whether to stay in or come out of the closet, bullying, prejudice, the lack of role models, religious persecution, and teenage suicide. But it also deals with friendship, changing attitudes, and acceptance - especially what can sometimes be the hardest of all: self-acceptance.

"LUBE" is one more voice in a chorus - or perhaps a cacophony - of voices trying to convey the message that "It Gets Better" to at-risk young adults. Hundreds of celebrities have joined the effort, adding their voices as well, but the statistics are shocking. According to the Trevor Project (http://www.trevorproject.org), suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people ages 10 to 24. LGB youth are four times more likely, and questioning youth are three times more likely, to attempt suicide as their straight peers. There are more teens in the US who attempt suicide each year than the total body count from the many mass shootings seen in the news by a factor of two to three. It's a silent epidemic. To address this issue, "LUBE" attempts to provide positive role models and an uplifting message: "Just love yourself; the rest will fall in place."

"LUBE" is not be the be-all, end-all solution to the problem, but it's an approach that hasn't been tried before. It treats being gay as normal and gay sex as a topic that isn't taboo. The playwright wants to provide an experience for young gay adults that has been available to their straight counterparts for a very long time: to walk out of the theater identifying with the lead characters, saying to themselves, "I'm gay. They were gay. They found happiness and fell in love. That could happen to me." But even more, "LUBE" attempts to send a message to every person who sees it, whether they be gay or straight, that it isn't OK to bully or torment others who may be different, that it's not acceptable to add to the problems of an isolated teen. This message may not make it to every bully or tormenter, but with "LUBE," the playwright hopes to convince their peers that these kinds of acts are not acceptable. Perhaps peer pressure can achieve what a simple, direct message cannot.

Tickets for the Reading are available online at http://lubemusicalreading.eventbrite.com. Best seating is reserved for those who support the Reading through the "LUBE" Kickstarter campaign at http://tinyurl.com/zefra3s. Zevrix Solutions announces Package Central 1.9.8, a maintenance update to its solution to automatically collect Adobe InDesign documents from watched hot folders. Package Central automatically packages InDesign files along with their fonts and links and offers customizable workflows, variable folder names, email notifications, preflighting and more. The new version lets users send automatic email notifications via Microsoft Exchange SMTP servers, and addresses several email processing issues.

Toronto (ON), Canada -- Zevrix Solutions today announces Package Central 1.9.8, a maintenance update to its automated solution to collect Adobe InDesign documents. Originally developed for a major publisher in the United States, the software automates InDesign packaging by processing files from watched hot folders.

The new version lets users send Package Central's email notifications via Microsoft Exchange SMTP servers. This ability is especially useful in corporate environments where email servers are set up to not allow authentication over a plaintext connection. The update also improves the reliability of email transfer, addresses a crash that could be caused by a missing SMTP password, and introduces several UI improvements and bug fixes.

Under Package Central workflow, production artists, prepress operators and designers simply submit InDesign files to watched hot folders that reside on a network. The software offloads document collection to a central system thus freeing user's time for important tasks such as design and layout. Operator workstations will never again be tied up by the packaging process.

Package Central performs all its tasks automatically on a dedicated machine and can run absolutely unattended. The app offers the following key features and benefits:

-Create hot folders for various collection settings
-Create PDF and IDML files on the fly
-Variable email notifications on process stages and errors
-Variable package folder names
-Detailed processing logs
-Maintain a single set of settings for entire workgroup

Pricing and Availability:
Package Central can be purchased for $149.95 from Zevrix website, as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. Package Central requires Mac OS X 10.6-10.11 and Adobe InDesign CS5-CC 2015.

Global Lender Equities First Holdings Sees A Growing Trend Among Borrowers Who Use Stock as Loan Collateral to Secure Working Capital

As Banks and Financial Institutions Tighten Lending Criteria, Stock-Based Loans May Offer Some Investors an Attractive Alternative to Raise Capital.

Indianapolis, IN, USA -- Equities First Holdings, LLC (EFH, http://www.equitiesfirst.com), a global lender and a leader in alternative shareholder financing solutions, is seeing more traction in margin loans and stock-based loans in an economic climate where banks and other institutions have tightened lending criteria. For borrowers who need to raise capital quickly or who may not qualify for more conventional credit-based loans, equities lending is gaining popularity as an alternative.

While some options still exist for these individuals, recently, many banks have cut their lending options for borrowers, tightened loan qualifications, and increased interest rates. Al Christy, Jr., Founder and CEO of EFH, sees loans collateralized by stocks as an innovative borrowing alternative for individuals seeking working capital. Stock-based loans typically have a higher loan-to-value ratio than margin loans and offer a fixed interest rate, providing certainty throughout the life of the transaction.

"During a typical three-year loan term, market fluctuation is inevitable, but stock-based loans provide a hedge because the borrower is lowering his or her investment risk in a downside market," said Christy. "Most stock-based loans have a non-recourse feature that allows a borrower to walk away from a stock loan at any point, even if the stock's value depreciates. The borrower is able to keep the initial loan proceeds with no further obligation to the lender."

As Christy notes, some consider margin loans and stock-based loans to be synonymous. Although both forms of financing use securities for collateral, there are marked differences.

With a margin loan, the borrower must be pre-qualified, as with a conventional bank loan, and may require the money to be used for a specific purpose. The interest rates are variable and the borrower can expect loan-to-value ratios between 10 and 50 percent. In addition, the lending firm may liquidate the borrower's collateral without warning in the event of a margin call.

With stock-based loans, borrowers can expect a fixed interest rate between three and four percent and a loan-to-value ratios ranging from 50 to 75 percent. There also are no restrictions on the loan, so the money can be used for any purpose. In addition, most stock-based loans are non-recourse, so borrowers can walk away without obligation, even if the value of the collateral stock has decreased.

"Any form of financial transaction has some risk associated with it," said Christy, "But stock-based loans have been historically ignored as a viable borrowing option largely because a number of unscrupulous lenders have unceremoniously dumped borrowers' collateral into the open market, failed to return stocks upon transaction maturity, or failed to address other concerns. We have built our business on a code of integrity and transparency and we rely on leading legal, regulatory, and trading institutions for counsel. Our mission is to deliver maximum benefit with minimum risk so our customers can meet their personal and professional financial goals."

The Mission Society Highlights Plight of Refugees - And the Struggles to Practice Compassion of Christ

New Issue of "Unfinished" Magazine Describes On-the-Ground Outreach.

Norcross, GA, USA -- As the refugee crisis continues to grow, The Mission Society is taking an in-depth look at the situation's complexities, examining the issues facing Christians who feel called to help but have misgivings about the process.

In the summer edition of The Mission Society's magazine, Unfinished, "Rediscovering hospitality: Getting serious about welcoming the stranger," the outreach ministry looks at how Christians are responding, while noting that "God is the God Who Helps."

"As we look to help, many of us are afraid, afraid that we will all be pulled under by the tremendous need," said Max Wilkins, president and CEO of The Mission Society. "While God doesn't expect any of us to help everyone in need, I know God has blessed us to be a blessing.

"I know God wants us to care for those who have been - or will be - placed on our doorsteps," he said, adding that Amnesty International found that 80 percent of the polled people in 27 countries would welcome refugees.

In the magazine, Charlie and Miki Chastain, missionaries in Europe with The Mission Society, describe their efforts to assist the refugees. "A night spent volunteering in a refugee camp breaks through apathy and emotional barriers we put up," wrote Charlie Chastain. "When you look into the eyes of these individuals and hear their stories, it becomes abundantly clear that these men, women and children are not that different from us."

But for others, the slow pace of resettlement is a source of frustration. In Spain, few refugees have been allowed in by the national government, despite urging from local officials and nonprofit groups. "I'm sure that God's heart is sad," said missionary Laurie Drum in Spain. "People whom He loves are standing at the door, and we cannot open it. With our hands tied, we wait and pray for solutions."

Jim Ramsay, Vice President for Mission Ministries, also reflected on the appropriate Christian approach. "As Christians, we are to seek the heart of God in the midst of this unfolding story," he wrote. "How God's people respond matters not only to the physical and emotional needs of the refugee, but our response also matters in how faithfully we are living into our identity as His people."

The summer issue of Unfinished also features ethicist and author Christine Pohl, Ph.D., whose article "The Perils of Hospitality," outlines seven risks to opening our lives to others, particularly to those not like us. It's an important practice. "A life of hospitality," she writes, "is basic to what it means to be Jesus' disciples." The magazine also tells the experiences of Christians in North America who helped guide refugees through the complexities of Western society and provides practical advice on how to become engaged in assisting refugees through prayer, donation and personal involvement.
