The Frankenmuth Brewery recently increased its manufacturing and supply capabilities and the Frankenmuth Pilsener will be its flagship brand with the other ales, lagers and seasonals to follow. The popularity of Michigan craft beers is on the rise and we are trying to meet the demand of the craft beer buyer by providing a variety of high quality brews.
Frankenmuth, Michigan, July 25, 2011 -- After a 15 year hiatus from the marketplace, Frankenmuth Brewery in Frankenmuth, Michigan is ready to bring its delicious craft beers in bottles to beer consumers through major grocery stores, chain stores, independents, convenience stores, pharmacies and gas stations. They will introduce their award winning Frankenmuth Pilsener beer in a smartly designed six pack bottle package on August 1, 2011, followed by brewmaster Jeff Coon’s unsurpassed Marzen style Oktoberfest in the middle of August. The flagship Pilsener and seasonal Oktoberfest will then be followed by the recently decorated and well reviewed Munich Dunkel in early October with the remaining four house brands including Frankenmuth Blonde Ale, Hefeweizen, Batch 69 IPA and Red Sky Ale packaged in a special 12 pack container just in time for the holidays.
Frankenmuth Brewery opened in 1862 and is recognized as one of America’s oldest breweries and is Michigan’s Original Craft Beer.
Brewmaster Jeff Coon, a brewing veteran and graduate of the Siebel Institute, immediately began making German brews based on the German beer purity law of Reinheitsgebot. The variety of traditional lagers and ales have been served at the Frankenmuth Brewery full service restaurant and have received great reviews while the microbrewery began distributing the beers to various restaurants and bars in Michigan through kegs. “We are very excited about this expansive launch of the Frankenmuth brand in bottles through grocery stores, drug stores, convenience stores and gas stations. This will provide the consumer a convenient way to try all our delicious craft beers” said Coon.
The Frankenmuth Brewery focused on kegs throughout 2009 and 2010 but the demand for bottles grew until the microbrewery packaged a 12 pack sampler and other limited quantities of bottles in late 2010 and early 2011. Every bottled package that hit the shelves was gobbled up instantaneously by anticipating consumers due to the fantastic product and limited supply.
“The Frankenmuth Brewery recently increased its manufacturing and supply capabilities and the Frankenmuth Pilsener will be its flagship brand with the other ales, lagers and seasonals to follow,” says Frankenmuth Brewing Co. President Haithem Sarafa. “The popularity of Michigan craft beers is on the rise and we are trying to meet the demand of the craft beer buyer by providing a variety of high quality brews,” added Sarafa.
Licensed grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores and other retail outlets as well as restaurants and bars that would like to carry Frankenmuth Brewery craft beer should call their local distributer or visit http://www.FrankenmuthBrewery.com to find a distributor. “We expect the Oktoberfest to sell fast since it has a very limited supply,” says Sarafa.
