The
mission of Karina
Association to improve the quality of life for
special needs children and young adults through professional
services, advocacy and heightened public awareness. Our goal is to
maximize the strengths and potential of children and young adults
with special needs by bringing together dedicated families with
outstanding professionals and volunteers to provide specialized
therapy programs and family respite support. Karina Association was
founded in 2009 by Biliana Borimetchkova to raise public awareness
surrounding disabled children and young adults that come from low and
moderate income families. Karina Association was created to fill an
unmet need in the community of Baltimore City and the surrounding
area. Karina is one of the few organizations in Maryland that
practices the multi-disciplinary Expressive Arts Therapy Model.
