Jobosabe.com, The Trusted Friend Employment Network Looking for Early Adopters

Locally focused social networking site for job seekers is offering incentives for people willing to test-drive their site.

Austin, Texas, January 19, 2012 -- Jobosabe.com, (pronounced jah-bo-sah-be) is going into beta this week and looking for job seekers who would like to test drive their new platform. The locally based social Jobworking “Talent Community” is going live shortly in major markets around the US. Partnering with major newspapers, the website will deliver a social networking experience that is primarily focused on local jobs, local employers and local candidates.

Traditional Social Networking sites are large, cumbersome and nationally/globally focused. Many personal profiles contain information and photos that may not shine the brightest light on your employment credentials. Innocent things can often be misread by prospective employers and may cost you your next job. Trouble is, you won't even know it. You just won't get the job.

One of the biggest challenges for job seekers is that their social networking life online can also be a major distraction or hindrance during a job search. Employers troll major Social Networking platforms looking for reasons to hire or not hire prospective candidates. Jobosabe.com is a place where you can direct employers to your profile and connect with other job seekers to share leads and ideas. It is totally business and employment based.” Noted Carl Braun, Jobosabe.com co-founder. “You can lock down your other Social Networking profiles to only trusted friends and use Jobosabe as your employment profile.” He added.

The first 1,000 Beta testers will be given a FREE resume review and guidance on how to find that next great job. A $99 value. You only need to go to Jobosabe.com, enroll and build out your employment profile. Early adopters will have a chance to create and administer “Talent Discussion Communities.” Employers will have a chance to create free “Opportunity Zones” and post jobs through Jobosabe.com or their local newspaper.

FRA claims Irish forestry investment is a 'good bet'

The sale of 20 forestry plantations in Ireland has received the backing of FRA, which supports investment in sustainable forestry projects around the world.

Seattle, United States, January 19, 2012 -- The sale of 20 forestry plantations in Ireland has received the backing of Forestry Research Associates (FRA), which supports investment in sustainable forestry projects around the world.

The research and analysis consultancy claims that the selling of 20 plantations across several counties in Ireland is a great opportunity for foreign investors, as the trees are currently at 50 per cent maturity and will grow further, generating returns.

An agent called DTZ Sherry FitzGerald is offering the 20 sites for sale or investment, at a cost of EUR 4,900 per hectare, which totals some EUR 4.5 million for the entire 371-hectare portfolio. The forest areas are located in eight counties, including County Clare and Leitrim, which has three and seven plantations each, respectively.

FRA’s analysis partner, Peter Collins, said the forestry plantations in question have sensibly managed the age range of the trees to maximise the continual maturity that will ensure cash keeps being generated for the investors.

This is also central to the sustainability of a managed forest and will ensure that forests are productive, while remaining standing for years to come if managed properly,” explained Mr Collins.

He added “We think this opportunity is a solid one for those looking to invest in forestry, as the direct investment model will help to provide investors with genuine diversity within their portfolio, which will protect them from the volatilities of the equity markets.”

FRA supports other similar plantation schemes in developing countries where these kinds of projects can help to reduce destruction of the local forests. Greenwood Management’s plantation schemes in Brazil, for example, plant non-native timbers, which grow quickly and can be used in the production of charcoal for the steel industry. FRA claims that this reduces the deforestation of native forests to meet the demand for charcoal from the booming steel market.
