IAPAM’s hCG Training Includes Tips for Weight Maintenance

The IAPAM’s hCG Physician Weight Loss Program offers physicians all the tools and training they need to add hCG for Weight Loss to their practices.  Now the IAPAM’s program includes Enhanced Weight Management Content, including 15 proven Tips for Healthy Eating. As part of its respected hCG Training, hCG and weight management experts offer physicians training in how to successful maintain their patients’ weight loss.

Las Vegas, NV, February 16, 2011 -- To help physicians meet the needs of motivated patients, the IAPAM offers the industry’s leading hCG for Weight Loss Training program (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com/physician-hcg-weight-loss-training).  Attendees at the IAPAM’s hCG Training learn from expert physicians, pharmacists and other specialists in the field of hCG and medical weight management, and are given all the tools, resources and instruction needed to profitably add hCG for Weight Loss to their practices right away.

Beyond “weight loss,” the IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) is dedicated to offering physicians and their patients enduring weight management strategies.  So once a patient has reached their goal weight, use these 13 NEW tips to help them maintain your their new weight:

1.  Plan for a morning and afternoon snack.  An apple travels well, other ideas include the proper portion of nuts (i.e. almonds),  protein bars, protein shakes.
2.  When making pasta, reduce the pasta and load up on meat and vegetables (tomatoes, onion, carrots, red peppers, zucchini, etc.).
3.  Replace fruit juice with a homemade smoothie made from fruit (frozen or fresh).  Here’s a quick recipe: 1/2c blueberries, 1 banana, 1 Tbsp peanut butter and/or 1 scoop of whey powder, 2 Tbsp quick cook oats, 1 1/2 cup skim milk.
4.  Drink from tall, thin glasses, you'll think you are drinking more than you really are (especially of you are drinking fruit juices).
5.  Replace fried food with baked.  For the breading, use Panko (Japanese style bread crumbs), egg whites, and a small amount of skim milk as a batter.
6.  Focus on not eating bad fats, but don't skip the good ones: fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines), fatty fruits (avocados), extra-virgin olive oil, eggs and healthy-fat snacks (nuts).  Again , watch your portion control.
7.  If you need to trim a few pounds off in a week, focus on eating lean, healthy white meat and fish (i.e. boneless, skinless chicken, basa, tilapia), and lots of filling vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, red peppers, celery). Try starting with a soup; use Campbell’s low sodium chicken broth as a soup base, and add chopped up vegetables.
8.  Milk, Greek style yogurt, cottage cheese, and cheeses all contain slow-to-digest protein and healthy fat.
9.  Remove sugar-sweetened and diet carbonated beverages from your diet. There is no nutritional value in these drinks. Instead, choose: unsweetened iced tea, iced coffee, and water (both flat and sparkling).
10.  Cut down on your wine consumption,  instead of having a glass of wine with every meal, choose a nice bottle of sparkling water (San Pellegino, Panna)
11.  If you are still having a challenge, keep a food journal for 2 weeks. It doesn't need to be paper-based, it can be also be an electronic app like iLoseIt or web based.  You will be surprised on how much food you are really eating.  Also, most people underestimate the calories of the food they eat when eating out.
12. Walk more! People who walk more lower their resting heart rates, BMIs, and waist measurements.  Next time you are at the mall, chose the parking space furthest from the door, take the stairs whenever possible, and find some friends in the neighborhood to go on a daily walk.
13.  Add resistance training. This doesn't mean pumping iron, you can start with some exercise bands.  The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn!

The IAPAM’s hCG Physician Weight Loss Training offers physicians a full-day of intensive education on the clinical best practices of hCG for weight loss, lipotropic injections and Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) programs. Physicians and their staff will learn the exclusive IAPAM hCG for Weight Loss Protocol (based on Dr. Simeons manuscript, Pounds and Inches.) The IAPAM’s program gives physicians “everything they need to start offering medical weight loss programs to their patients immediately upon returning to their practices,” emphasizes Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM, and one of the IAPAM faculty instructors presenting at the IAPAM’s hCG training. Also, the IAPAM’s full day hCG training is the only hCG medical weight loss training in North America approved for a special medical malpractice coverage for those who have attended and have been certified by the IAPAM.

In 2010, all of the IAPAM’s hCG Medical Weight Management seminars sold out, so to register for the next session in 2011, please see  http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com/physician-hcg-weight-loss-training, or contact the IAPAM at  pr1@theiapam.com or 1-800-219-5108 ext 708.

Botox Popularity Continues and Capturing Market Takes Botox Training

The recently published ASPS 2010 Statistics supports the position that botox, as well as the other top 4 non-surgical procedures: laser hair removal, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, chemical peels and microdermabrasion, will continue to be the aesthetic treatments of choice in the next decade. However, only physicians who have completed comprehensive, multi-day programs, like the IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training, can safely and successfully capture their portion of this consistently growing market.

Las Vegas, NV, February 16, 2011 -- Americans had over 13 million cosmetic procedures last year, and over 11.5 million of these were minimally invasive treatments. Equally, while surgical procedures grew by only 2%, non-surgical treatments increased by 5%. Leading the way in minimally-invasive modalities was botox (2,557,068 botox injections preformed), followed closely by hyaluronic acid dermal filler injections (1,313,038 procedures). Given this surge in the popularity of injectables, the importance of hands-on, physician-lead botox training (http://www.iapam.com/botox-training) has never been more important. The IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) recognizes that to safely and successfully add botox to a practice, physicians need expert botox information. To that end, the IAPAM offers the industry's best botox training (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com/botoxtraining), delivered by board-certified dermatologists acutely familiar with the skin, the technique and art of injectables, botoxc vs. dysport, as well as botox side effects, etc.

A Decade of Botox "Rule"

In 1997, chemical peels were the most popular cosmetic procedure preformed, representing 21.9% of the market. Chemical peels were followed closely by collagen injections representing 16.5% of cosmetic procedures preformed. Interestingly, botox injections captured only 3.1% of the total market in minimally-invasive procedures. However, in 2000, botox surpassed chemical peels as the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure, and for the last 10 years, botox cosmetic has commanded the aesthetic medicine arena.

Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM has witnessed the domination of botox and all minimally-invasive treatments in cosmetic medicine. "We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox, dermal fillers as well as microdermabrasion have exploded in demand, and we are seeing a correlating increase in the demand for our botox training. Registration for our Aesthetic Medicine Symposium, which trains physicians on all 5 minimally invasive procedures, has also dramatically increased in the last 12 months. Physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, and organizations like the IAPAM educate doctors on how to package these treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes."

Growth in hCG Mirrors Botox Growth

Other interesting change in the aesthetic medicine landscape has been in the growth of hCG and Medical Weight Management. A successful aesthetic medicine practice is now more than just botox and laser hair removal. Medical spas positioned for growth often include hCG for weight-loss programs to their patients. Based upon Dr. Simeons manuscript, Pounds and Inches, the IAPAM's full day hCG training program educates physicians, of all specialties, on how to profitably add hCG to their practices. This comprehensive day of training covers the latest industry advancements in hCG and Medical Weight Loss Management, including hCG, B6/B12 injections, lipotropic injections, pharmacology, supplements & lipase inhibitors, ketogenic diets, VLCD/LCD, and meal replacement programs.

Given that weight loss in the US is a $58 billion dollar market, patients are seeking out physicians who offer hCG and other weight management programs. However, incorporating diet pharmaceuticals and new technologies into an effective and profitable Weight Loss Program, requires a comprehensive understanding of the studies, research, and peer reporting on weight loss agents. The IAPAM's hCG Training gives a physician all the education and tools: practice resources, patient guidebooks, and marketing content to successfully add hCG to a healthcare business.

SyndicIT Services Announces Automated Document Compliance Audits for Paperless Operations in the Multihousing Industry

Multihousing Industry Users of SyndicIT's Paperless Operations Services can Now Audit Document Files for Compliance and Completeness.

Austin, TX - February 15, 2011
-- SyndicIT Services Corporation (SyndicIT) today announced that its service for paperless operations, designed specifically for use in the multihousing and commercial real estate industries, has been enhanced to now include the capability of ‘document package auditing’. This new capability ensures that all documents specified as necessary and required in a package, for example, to complete a leasing package, or compliance packages for contracts and human resources, are present and accounted for. The system audits the specified document packages and produces a report showing which documents are present and which documents are missing according to the rules set for that package. An additional feature enables policies to be established for the on-going retention and destruction of any document according to established polices.

SyndicIT delivers secure digital document cloud-based storage, making electronic and scanned paper documents available via a web browser anywhere, anytime, eliminating the costs and risks associated with storing and managing paper files in the real estate industry. The SyndicIT system is designed for leasing office operations and community management and for enterprise-wide use across all business departments such as legal, HR and talent management, vendor and contract management, budgeting and accounting, A/P and services management.

“These new compliance and auditing benefits when added to the cost savings of paperless operations and reduction of security risks are significant,” said Debra Radice, managing director for SyndicIT Services Corporation. “While the time has clearly come to address paperless operations, automated records auditing, retention and destruction compliance now enables business operating managers and executives to know that all files are complete and being managed according to proscribed records completion, compliance and retention policies,” Radice added.

MEET “SYNDI,” THE DESKTOP AVATAR WHO DOES ALL THE WORK

A desk top ‘drag and drop’ avatar called Syndi ensures that all documents are captured, monitored, properly handled and filed. Syndi performs as a scanner applet, present on the user’s computer desktop enabling simple, fast and easy ‘drag and drop’ capture of scanned or electronic documents whether they be Outlook messages, Excel, Word, PDF files, .TIF images, photos or even voice files to be digitally captured and shared. Syndic’s unique ‘print to Syndi’ function enables users to ‘print documents’ directly to the correct electronic file cabinet. Syndi also constantly monitors scanning devices moving scanned paper document automatically into workflows, to-do folders, in-boxes or electronic file cabinets.

The SyndicIT system also features ready-to-go document workflow processing, integration with Outlook to expedite document, message filing and attachment filing, and ‘hot key’ access to/from line of business database applications such as property management systems for indexing a document or for document retrieval.

“We believe it is time to establish an industry standard for both document management and document exchange,” added Radice. “It’s time to untangle documents from the maze of ever-changing property management applications, and secure and stabilize these valuable business assets within a single, unified platform, useable by the entire business and its business partners,” added Radice.

Love: A Story -- The Little Book That Reveals The Big Secret Of Love, Life And Fulfilling Your Dreams

Inspirational authors Stewart St. John and Todd Fisher take readers on an extraordinary journey of the heart in powerful new book.

Beverly Hills, CA, February 14, 2011
-- Award-winning screenwriter Stewart St. John and producing partner Todd Fisher announced today the official release of their first co-authored book, “Love: A Story” --  the extraordinary tale of a disillusioned woman whose decision to end her life is interrupted by a mystical encounter with a familiar stranger.

“It’s about a woman who reaches the point in her life that she just wants out,” says St. John, known for his work as a screenwriter of children and family television shows like Seventeen Again and Sabrina: The Animated Series.  “And on the day she decides to check out, she has a transcendental experience that shifts her perspective and sets her on a journey of self-discovery. It’s a simple yet high concept story with a mystical element that is both enchanting and poignant.”

“It’s a story that really has something powerful to say about the human spirit,” says co-author Todd Fisher. “It’s a parable for living with courage, for living with strength and knowing that we are all loved unconditionally.”

The book is available now at Get The Love Book -- http://www.getthelovebook.com and Amazon.com.

“We also wanted to create something unique in the design of the book so there are love quotes throughout,” says Fisher who, with St. John, is co-founder of The St. John-Fisher Company, an independent media and publishing house creating television, film, books, music and apps for children and family audiences.

The authors know something about the subject of love. A few months ago they started sending out daily inspirations to subscribers of their feel-good website through emails called The Love Letters.

“The concept of The Love Letters is that they're written from the perspective of Love itself,” explains St. John. “Who doesn't want to start their day with a letter from Love, reminding you how awesome you are?”

“It went viral really fast,” says Fisher, “And what started with a few hundred daily emails has grown to several thousand... with no end in sight.”

Between Love: A Story -- which is the first book in a planned five-part series -- and the daily Love Letters, St. John and Fisher are busy building the love business. “It’s a lot of fun and it makes us smile because we know from the feedback that people are really enjoying what we're creating,” adds Fisher.

Love: A Story is currently available at the author’s web site: http://www.getthelovebook.com and at Amazon.com; to sign up for the love letters visit http://www.stewartstjohnlight.com

SEEtheWILD Launches New Species of Adventure Travel

Website Helps Travelers Book Volunteer Vacations and Save Wildlife.

BEAVERTON, USA (February 2011 / Ecotourism-Newswire.com) -- Dreaming of tracking a tiger in its natural habitat? Want to snorkel with sea turtles or protect penguins? SEEtheWILD.org is the first responsible adventure travel website that invites travelers to vacation with their favorite wild animals and help save them in the process. Trips booked through SEEtheWILD directly fund efforts to protect endangered species.

Today, many people are looking for more meaningful experiences than standard package tours or fun in the sun getaways. SEEtheWILD helps vacationers find and book trips that appeal to their interests while treading lightly on the earth. Immersed in the exotic habitats of endangered species including bears, lions, penguins, sea turtles, sharks and whales, the guided tours educate travelers on animals’ natural histories and threats.

“SEEtheWILD works with conservation organizations to bring people to field projects where their visits will generate income for both the projects and local communities,” said co-founder Brad Nahill. “We offer rewarding options for many types of travelers, whether they're looking for hands-on volunteer trips, adventure eco tours, or a little of both. Through it all, we make conservation trip planning simple and fun."

Focusing on locally-owned establishments, the website features accommodations for a range of comfort levels from rainforest camping to stays in five-star eco-resorts. In addition, SEEtheWILD recommends trips catered to the visitor’s destination, budget, travel style and animal interests.

Innovative Approach
“SEEtheWILD’s model creates income for both wildlife protection efforts and the communities sharing the land and sea with the animals,” noted James Dion, National Geographic Society business development associate. “Contributing a higher percentage of revenue to animal conservation projects than the norm, this new service comes at a time when interest in eco-friendly international travel is resurging and online travel planning is at an all-time high.”

An extensive screening process ensures that all SEEtheWILD operators follow environmental guidelines, provide monetary support to conservation programs, educate travelers and use local guides and businesses. Initial partners include tour operators Wildland Adventures, Maple Leaf Adventures, Reefs to Rockies, Geographic Expeditions and volunteer organization Earthwatch Institute.

About SEEtheWILD
SEEtheWILD offers meaningful adventure vacations that help protect endangered species across the globe. After three years of successful conservation tourism projects focused on protecting sea turtles through SEETurtles.org, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols and Brad Nahill formed SEEtheWILD to support a wider variety of destinations and endangered species, including bears, birds, wild cats, whales, sharks and sea turtles. Since 2008, SEE Turtles has generated more than $200,000 for local turtle conservation programs in Costa Rica, Baja Mexico and Trinidad. SEEtheWILD and SEE Turtles are non-profit projects of the Ocean Foundation. For more information, visit http://www.seethewild.org.

2010 Statistics Confirm that Botox Training Helps Physicians Capture the 5% Growth

Las Vegas, NV, February 09, 2011 -- The IAPAM offers the industry's leading botox training, hCG for weight loss, and associated aesthetic medicine education (including training on lasers for skin rejuvenation and hair removal, medical microdermabrasion and medical grade chemical peels) for physicians. The IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium offers the most comprehensive, hands on, live demonstration and didactic instruction in all 5 of the top non-invasive procedures and offers unparalleled business support to physicians as they build successful aesthetic medicine practices and capture the reported 5% growth in the minimally-invasive market in 2010.

The economy has officially been in a recession since the fourth quarter of 2008, but one would not know it if aesthetic medicine physicians (http://www.iapam.com) were polled.  As evidenced in reports, like the recent announcement from The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), minimally-invasive procedures increased 5 percent in 2010, with nearly 11.6 million procedures being performed.

As in 2009, the top five minimally-invasive procedures were:

• Botulinum toxin type A (5.4 million)
• Soft tissue fillers (1.8 million)
• Chemical peels (1.1 million)
• Laser hair removal (938,000)
• Microdermabrasion (825,000)

"Injectables have remained robust despite the economy," said ASPS President Dr. Haeck. "Botox® and Dysport® injections are up 12 percent, while, interestingly, fat injections are up 14 percent, which could reflect how a patient's own fat is being used in more creative ways to rejuvenate the face and body."

Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, concurs with the findings of the aforementioned reports. "We are hearing from our members that minimally invasive procedures like botox and other cosmetic injectables, medically supervised hCG weight loss as well as laser training, microdermabrasion and chemical peels are in tremendous demand by patients, and we are seeing a correlating increase in the demand for our training.  Registration for our cornerstone training program, the IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium with Botox Training (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com), has dramatically increased in the last 6 months. Physicians are realizing they not only need to offer botox treatments to their patients, but also laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Organizations, like the IAPAM, educate physicians on how to package these treatments for the most appealing and profitable outcomes."

In line with these findings, the IAPAM's Aesthetic Medicine Symposium provides a forum for physicians to immerse themselves in training on these top 5 minimally invasive procedures. Leading the faculty is a team of renowned cosmetic dermatologists who cover aesthetic patient consultations, facial anatomy & musculature, product preparation, pain management, procedural protocols, post treatment issues and continuing practice support.  Unlike other programs, the Botox Training is done in a clean, multi-million dollar medical facility, not a hotel room chair.  Doctors who have completed the IAPAM's Botox Training (http://www.iapam.com/botoxtraining.html), hCG for Weight Loss Training, Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or Aesthetic Practice Business Start-Up training have a competitive advantage.

For more information on the IAPAM's upcoming Aesthetic Medicine Symposium and/or hCG/Physician Weight Loss Training, please see  http://www.iapam.com or contact the IAPAM at 1-800-219-5108 ext. 704.

IHireVeterans.com Presents the Top Ten Reasons To Hire a Veteran

Veterans and returning military are excellent employees for most companies.

San Francisco, CA, February 08, 2011
-- IHireVeterans.com has published the Top Ten Reasons for Hiring a Veteran at http://www.ihireveterans.com/employers. Their aim is to educate employers on the hard and soft skills offered by today’s military service members.

“The common misconception amongst employers is that military veterans bring skill-sets that are largely not appropriate to civilian careers. “Tank Drivers or Infantrymen are not in high demand these days, however military veterans offer much more than their MOS or Military Occupation Specialty Code might reveal. Things like Teamwork, Leadership and Integrity are essential qualities taught to every service member. In addition, they are exposed to leading edge technologies and health and safety standards,” noted Sela Rodriguez, Vice President of Veterans Affairs for IHireVeterans.com.

Veterans have the proven ability to learn new skills and concepts. They can enter your workforce with identifiable and transferable skills, proven in real-world situations. This background can enhance your organization’s productivity.

“The bottom line is that veterans provide employers with skills and qualities not often found in new college grads. They can hit the ground running and can follow instructions to the letter, delivering accelerated performance along the way,” added Rodriguez.

Military service members are also taught respect for procedures and respect for other individuals that might not look like them. Diversity and Inclusion is alive and well in the US Military services.

As operations wind down in Iraq, more and more veterans will be seeking employment opportunities in the private sector. Employers are encouraged to extend a hand to these American heroes and give them a chance to prove their value to their new companies.

IHireVeterans.com and their sister sites Diversity-job.com and Green-Employers.com support America’s returning military and veterans. These sites are part of the Job1 family of employment resources.

IAPAM Echoes FDA's Condemnation of Homeopathic hCG

The IAPAM concurs with the recent announcement by the FDA, that homeopathic hCG, often sold over the internet in drops, pellets or sprays, is fraudulent and ineffective in a weight loss program. The IAPAM's hCG Training provides physicians with all the resources, information and tools to effectively deliver a physician-supervised hCG Protocol, utilizing pharmaceutical grade hCG.

Las Vegas, NV, February 08, 2011 -- Jeff Russell, Executive Director of the IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) recently commented on a website where, "someone bought some homeopathic hCG on the internet and sent it to a lab for testing. When the results came back, it was discovered that it contained no hCG." Mr. Russell's concerns regarding the fraudulent distribution of so-called homeopathic hCG were echoed by Elizabeth Miller, the FDA's leader for the Internet and health fraud team, who was quoted last week as saying that, "there is no evidence the oral over-the-counter products are effective for weight loss."

"What is even more concerning," comments Russell, "is that people are ordering homeopathic hCG and starting the hCG diet without proper physician supervision. Any physician trained in hCG for weight loss knows that the hCG diet is not for everyone, and patients who engage in a physician-directed hCG Protocol must complete a series of lab tests to ensure they can safely go on an hCG diet program."

The IAPAM is dedicated to educating physicians on all aspects of an hCG Protocol (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com/physician-hcg-weight-loss-training), from diet to maintenance to the most common medical contraindications, so they can safely prescribe hCG to eligible patients. "People need to understand, hCG is not some kind of wonder drug; you just don't take it and the weight magically disappears. You need to follow a very strict diet regimen, followed by a maintenance program. Without following the entire protocol (hCG + diet + maintenance), you will not get the best results out of the program, which are: targeted fat loss, long term weight loss, resetting of metabolism, and resetting to a new “normal” weight," cautions Jeff Russell.

Human chorionic gonadotropin or hCG is only available by a prescription, and it is important for patients and physicians alike to ensure that any doctor administering hCG for weight loss is trained, certified and experienced in providing an hCG protocol (similar to the protocol outlined in Dr. Simeons manuscript, Pounds and Inches).

The FDA's position on homeopathic hCG is clear. “We are aware of HCG products that claim to be homeopathic, but [are] not recognized in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia. Therefore, these products are not recognized by the FDA as homeopathic drugs, so they are unapproved drugs and are illegal,” Ms. Miller says.

If you are interested in adding Physician-Supervised hCG for Weight Loss to your practice, consider attending an upcoming IAPAM hCG Medical Weight Management seminar in Scottsdale, Arizona. To register, go to http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com/physician-hcg-weight-loss-training or contact the IAPAM at pr1@theiapam.com or 1-800-219-5108 ext 708.

Couples Counseling? Try Couples Yoga to Build Joy, Peace and Fitness in Philadelphia

Synergy By Jasmine teaches gentle yoga for couples, leads romantic couples retreats in various locations in the Metro Philadelphia area.

Philadelphia, PA, February 05, 2010
-- The benefits of couples yoga are that they can help you reconnect or find a new level of intimacy. They are revitalizing way to spend time with your beloved. The result can be a deeper connection with the building of more trust. As each participant learns to let go and trust, the couple begins to explore spiritual levels of the practice together. They build on the energy of each other and create a better understanding of their relationship as well as the practice of yoga.

Couples that are interested in Thai Massage, Massage for Couples, Yoga Retreats, Yoga and Meditation Classes, Yoga and Spa vacations or just couples just looking for relaxing and tender ways to connect will benefit from these classes in Philadelphia.

The yoga poses are suitable for all body types and fitness levels. The poses are playful, sometimes, childlike, buoyant and occasionally strengthening and sometimes restorative. The classes can be emotionally intimate and will open partner up to a level of vulnerability they may not have experienced before. For this reason, SBJ does not recommend this class as a first date. The classes are more suited for new or established couples.

The classes are divided up into three segments. The first segment will be a time for couples and partners to ground, center and get into a quiet, meditative space while synchronizing their breath and energy with their partner while do some slow and simple yoga poses.

The second part of the class is more active and many of the poses will be standing and balancing and the partners will build up a bit more heat and movement in the body.

The third part of the class the couple will be instructed and shown how to do beginner, basic relaxing massage techniques on the hands, feet, arms and legs.  Often people are so relaxed that they fall asleep during this part of the yoga class which is a healthy sign that the person is enjoying the massage and is relaxed.

After the yoga class, you might feel vulnerable, meditative or tranquil. In order to continue to remain in this calm, connected state, SBJ recommends that you plan on having a quiet, silent, relaxing evening afterwards, avoiding TV, loud, fast music, working at the office, computers and even keeping your cell phone turned off if you can.

2011: Year of the Puma? (For Cougars-in-Training)

San Rafael, CA, February 05, 2011 -- Contact: Tom Andrews, 415/507-9962

“2009 was declared Year of the Cougar by Newsweek,” says Rich Gosse, author of The Cougar Imperative: Why MidLife Women MUST Choose Younger Men. “But what about cougars-in-training, known as pumas? More and more women under 40 are choosing younger men, especially celebrities:

- Selena Gomez, 18, and Justin Bieber, 16

- Ashley Greene, 23, and Joe Jonas, 21

- Nicki Minaj, 26, and Drake, 24

- Carey Mulligan, 25, and Shia LeBeouf, 24

- Rihanna, 22, and Chris Brown 21 (no longer together)

- Lauren Conrad, 24, and Jason Wahler, 23

- Kelly Osbourne, 26, and Luke Worral, 21 (no longer together)

- Taylor Swift, 21, and Taylor Lautner, 18 (no longer together)

- Jessica Szohr, 25, and Ed Westwick, 23

“That’s why we have created the world’s first Puma Party, for single women under 40 who prefer younger men,” says Mr. Gosse, “on Friday, February 18, 2011, 8pm-Midnight, at Neptune’s Restaurant at Pier 39, San Francisco CA 94133.

“The worldwide cougar craze is NOT limited to middle-aged women, who are forced to date younger men out of DEMOGRAPHIC NECESSITY (the shortage of men their age who are willing to date middle-aged women), Pumas date younger men out of CHOICE, despite the fact that there are an unlimited number of older, more prosperous men who compete for their favors. We hope our Puma Party will be the launching pad for 2011 becoming The Year of the Puma.”

RICH GOSSE is the author The Cougar Imperative: Why MidLife Women MUST Choose Younger Men and many other books about dating, including You CAN Hurry Love, Singles Guide to America, and A Good Man Is EASY to Find (“This is a great book!” Oprah Winfrey). Mr. Gosse is available to the news media for interviews by calling 415-507-9962.

One Puma in attendance will be crowned Miss Bay Area Puma. She will win a free room at Hedonism II Resort & Spa at Negril Beach, Jamaica during International Cougar Week, March 27 – April 2, 2011. To be eligible she must be legally single, under age 40, available to the news media for interviews, and prefer younger men.

The Puma Party features complimentary appetizers, 8-9pm. $20 at the door includes DJ Dance Party, plus 6 hours free validated parking at the Pier 39 Parking Garage across the street. At approximately 10pm, one cougar will be crowned Miss Bay Area Puma, who will be available to the news media for interviews.

Y-cam delivers ‘Real Solutions’ via new Netherlands distribution partner

Richmond, London – February 3rd, 2011 -- Y-cam Solutions Ltd, the leading provider of affordable and easy-to-use remote monitoring products for residential and small-to-medium businesses, has partnered with Real Solutions Haarlem as distributor of the Y-cam range across The Netherlands.

The partnership with Real Solutions gives IT resellers across the Netherlands the opportunity to expand their value to small-to-medium-sized business customers by offering advanced, affordable and easy-to-use IP security systems.

“I'm extremely pleased for Y-cam to be partnering with Real Solutions”, comments Simon Carr, Head of Sales for Y-cam. “IT resellers have a great opportunity today to easily expand their revenues from their existing customer-base. They already understand storage and networking, so training up staff to offer IP-based security is easy. The product range is simple to get to grips with, offers real value to end-users, and now we have a great distribution partner to support new resellers and help them become experts in this area”.

“How many small business owners would not want to be able to check in on their office remotely by smartphone? Or to be sent an instant email snapshot if something happened out of hours? Their business is highly valuable to them, and more often than not, the contents and equipment they own are very painful to replace.”

Y-cam cameras come with a wealth of powerful features tailor-made for the business owner – including indoor and outdoor models, night vision capabilities, alerts if motion is detected, plus they operate without the need for a PC or Mac to be left on permanently, reducing overhead costs. Y-cam cameras can be used independently, with some models supporting on-camera recording via microSD memory card, or they can connect to virtually any NAS drive via Y-cam’s unique NAS-Ready™ feature, which enables resellers to deploy a robust security solution easily and quickly.

“The rapidly growing developing market of NAS and NVR users, in combination with the increasing usage of smartphones, is creating a real demand for easy to use and budget friendly network cameras. Y-cam is exactly what these customers are looking for. The compatibility of Y-cam with leading NVR and NAS brands like Synology and Thecus is outstanding and provides excellent value to business owners. 2012 will be the big year of home security and consumer domotica, and we are offering our partners alongside Y-cam a head start in this market” said Bob Hoefsloot, Managing Director of Real Solutions Haarlem.

“We are very excited to partner with Real Solutions” said Reint Helewaut, Regional Sales Manager for Y-cam, Benelux, “Real Solutions have a very capable and highly regarded service, and will be of valuable help to us in our program to recruit new Y-cam resellers in the Netherlands”.

Y-cam provides free VMS/NVR software for Windows and Mac, Y-cam MultiLive, which is designed to replace the need for a dedicated DVR / monitor commonly found with traditional security systems. MultiLive allows users to easily monitor and record footage from up to 36 Y-cam IP cameras, including those at different locations, on any PC or Apple Mac.

To further target smartphone-using home and small business owners, Y-cam Solutions have developed a range of free smart phone applications for the iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Symbian platforms. The Y-cam MultiLive app allows users to easily access and control their cameras from their phones from anywhere in the world (in addition to using any web browser), so users are never far from an opportunity to see what’s happening.

Working Group on HIV Reservoirs and Strategies to Control Them

The existence of HIV reservoirs explains why an HIV cure is not yet available. Since 2003, a group of renowned researchers organize a cutting edge workshop in this topic. They have now launched a scientific web portal to encourage sharing of data.

Toulon, France, February 03, 2011 -- There are now many effective treatments against HIV. No longer is it a life sentence, promising to lead to the development of AIDS, and bring on a series of opportunistic infections that ultimately overwhelm the person's weakened immune system and results in their death.

Instead it is a manageable condition, one whose sufferers can still expect to live with into their sixties-but only as long as they are able to get early access to the right treatments. These treatments can reduce the amount of the virus in the body, as well as helping the immune system to recover normal functions, and help the person to remain healthy.

Unfortunately the treatments for HIV are only able to manage the disease, they cannot and will not cure it, no matter how long and how well the patient follows their course of treatment. This is because the virus is able to stay in what is known as HIV reservoirs. These are areas of the body that become infected and that the drug treatments are unable to rid the virus from. Currently it is not known why these reservoirs persist, but it is clear that efforts to find a cure would be wise to focus on this area.

It is because of the HIV reservoir effect that there is currently no cure for HIV. Instead treatment must be followed for the rest of the patient's life, because even though the anti-retroviral drugs will ‘clear’ the virus from the rest of the body, it remains dormant in the reservoir. The reservoir inevitably reinfects the whole body, each time therapy is stopped or compliance less strict.

The other major problems with current HIV treatments are the cost. Simply put, the cost of treatment can cripple a person, and that cost will have to be paid as long as they live. Some governments are working to make treatments more accessible for people, but for more than two thirds of the world's HIV sufferers, treatment is simply not possible because they cannot afford it. What these people, in fact all sufferers of HIV need, is a lifelong cure from the virus and whilst the search continues for an HIV cure, people continue to die around the world because of a lack of treatment. The cure needs to urgently be found.

The HIV reservoir workshop was created in 2003 as a forum for scientists from around the world who are involved in HIV treatment research to come together. It is a meeting place every two years for professionals in the field to meet and discuss the latest research, and hear the latest research papers and theories presented. With a varied program of topics and talks, the aim is for the sharing and exchange of information that may ultimately help lead to a cure.

This biennial reference workshop is not intended to provide public education, but is a venue for professionals who are working in the field of HIV research, including doctors, pharmaceutical researchers, biologists, treatment and policy makers who wish to work together to find a cure.
