In the next Experts Connection (http://www.experts-connection.com) webinar, “You Will Be Googled – Does it Say What You Want?”, Glenn Raines; Founder of Social Media Moves and author of Google Profile: Elevate Your Brand and Findability on the Web, will explain how to take control of your Google search results. In this webinar, Glenn will show you how to build your online brand, starting with your Google Profile; a must-have for executives looking for the right career opportunity. Research shows that 83 percent of recruiters use search engines to find the right candidate, and a Google Profile gives you the positive exposure you need on the biggest search engine. And now, with Google+ joining the ranks of Facebook and LinkedIn, the Google Profile is becoming the first step to building visibility.

Glenn’s Experts Connection webinar will offer a step-by-step explanation of how to create a Google Profile account with searchable content and crosslinks. During this webinar, attendees will learn:
- How to set up a new Google Profile or improve an existing one.
- How to optimize your Profile for searchability with the right keywords and links.
- How to build a link list to other places on the web that gives recruiters a complete view of your skills.
- How to use the image gallery to demonstrate your expertise.
- How to add LinkedIn recommendations to your Google Profile as testimonials
- Search tricks that recruiters and hiring managers use to find candidates.
- How to expand your network of contacts, and create more opportunities.
- How to create “circles: on Google+ to segment your contacts by companies, recruiters, etc.
- How to add links to key touch points such as your resume or email signature.

Google has grown to become the largest search engine on the web, and understanding how to control your Google presence is a vital part of any executive’s career strategy,” said Katherine Simmons, CEO of NETSHARE and host of the Experts Connection webinars. “Glenn has made a detailed study of Google, personal branding, and searchability, including the opportunities offered by the new Google+ social network. This webinar is the ideal introduction to executives who understand the need to increase their online visibility and improve the quality of their online brand.”

The Experts Connection teleseminar series gives executives access to leading career experts. The cost of the seminar is $60, $50 for NETSHARE members, and access is provided via web and telephone. For more information, visit the Experts Connection online at http://www.experts-connection.com.

New Diet Book describes Why Carbohydrates make us Fat

New York, NY, USA - August 09, 2011 -- All carbohydrates, complex or simple are converted to blood sugar. The greater the amount consumed, the higher blood sugar will be raised. Refined carbohydrates like sugar or white bread are converted and absorbed more quickly. Complex carbohydrates like grains are converted more slowly but still end up elevating blood sugar to high levels.

Refined carbohydrate products and grains are very low in moisture content and therefore are a concentrated source. “It really doesn't take much concentrated carbohydrate to elevate blood sugar high enough to trigger an insulin release (a much smaller amount than most people imagine),” explains Tom Griesel, co-author of the new book, Turbocharged (BSH, 2011).

When sugar is consumed along with fat, which is a common refined food combo, it becomes a slow release situation in which insulin remains elevated over an extended period of time, which stresses cell receptors and eventually leads to insulin resistance over time. “It should be noted that sugar/fat combinations are not found in any natural food source and our bodies are not adapted to handle them,” says Tom.

For hundreds of thousands of years during our evolution, humans did not have any source of concentrated carbohydrates (except perhaps the rare honey find) until the advent of agriculture and grain cultivation. “Our bodies have not adapted to this change so it doesn't take much to overload our system with too much blood sugar. Grains and grain products also are very low in nutrients compared to fruits, vegetables, nuts seeds, eggs or animal protein so other than supplying calories, they are not an optimal food choice” adds Griesel. FRA welcomes DR Congo forestry protection decision

Forestry Research Associates (FRA) is welcoming the decision by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to entrust the management of a large section of its forest land to a Canadian company.

Seattle, United States - August 07, 2010 -- Forestry Research Associates (FRA) is welcoming the decision by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to entrust the management of a large section of its forest land to a Canadian company.

Ecosystem Restoration Associates (ERA) will take control of the project, which will involve the management and protection of a 300,000-hectare site in the Mai-Ndombe forest, in western Bandundu province. FRA, a research and analysis consultancy, said the move will help the African nation prevent deforestation under the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation (REDD+) program.

The government’s Environment Minister, Jose Endundo, said, "For us, it's about containing deforestation, restoring the forests and making this country a green country in the interest of the international community.”

Congo is of vital importance to the REDD+ efforts as it is home to 50 per cent of Africa’s forested land. The ERA is planning to try to teach local people about the sustainable management approaches that can help them to make a living from the forests while maintaining them for future generations and for their carbon capture capabilities.

ERA’s representative for Africa, John Kendall, said that the decision made by the DRC’s government will help to make a clear statement about its credibility and commitment to playing its part in the protection of the forests and the prevention of climate change.

FRA's analysis partner, Peter Collins, said, “We very much welcome the DRC’s decision to bring in Canada’s ERA to handle the section of woodland area within the Mai-Ndombe forest.”

He continued, “It is vital that countries with large areas of forested land take serious measures to help put an end to deforestation and illegal logging that could have major repercussions for the planet. The REDD+ scheme is providing financial incentives to help developing countries to look after their forests and protect them for the benefit of the planet as a whole."

FRA also supports managed forestry projects in other emerging economies, like Brazil, where firms like Greenwood Management are bringing in foreign investment to help provide alternatives to native timber and forestry products.

AAA reports on growing real estate market in Asia

Alternative investment advisory group Alternative Asset Analysis (AAA) has reported on claims from Pacific Star Group that Asia’s commercial property market is heading for growth.

Boston, MA, USA - August 05, 2011 -- Alternative Asset Analysis (AAA) has reported on claims from Pacific Star Group that Asia’s commercial property market is heading for growth.

AAA, which advocates investment in alternative assets classes, such as real estate and forestry, welcomes the report from one of Asia’s leading real estate investment firms. It claims that the second half of the year will see further growth, with the top three locations for real estate investment being Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

AAA’s analysis partner, Anthony Johnson, said, “This news strengthens our resolve to promote investment in emerging markets, such as those in Asia and Latin America.

These markets are where the real growth opportunities lie at the moment, as debt concerns in the US and Europe deter people form investing in the West,” he added.

China and other regions in the Asia-Pacific area are enjoying increased income from tourism, according to Leslie Chua, the senior vice-president and head of research and strategic planning. She added that Malaysia is enjoying wage growth, which has led to more retailers settling into the capital city. Singapore is also seeing a rise in visitors thanks to its resort developments, which has also prompted growth in real estate investment.

Chua said that retail developments are the most lucrative for investors, followed by office developments. She added that economic growth in the Asia region is also slowing to a more sustainable rate, which will provide a more stable background to the continent’s real estate market.

AAA encourages investment in emerging markets, claiming that alternative investments in such markets can help to protect an investment portfolio against the impact of another global financial crisis.

Mr Johnson added, “Latin America is another region offering great opportunities for people keen to diversity their portfolio and reduce risk.”

He added, “Some exciting projects include resort developments in the Sao Paulo region of Brazil and several major forestry projects in the same country, such as those run by Greenwood Management, that bring foreign investment into the country.”

A Change in Perspective: How Do Host Communities Feel About International Tourism?

Local Perspectives on Tourism Features Interviews with Locals from Around the World.

San Francisco, USA (August 04, 2011 - Ecotourism-News.com) -- Today, Local Perspectives on Tourism (LPT) announces the launch of a groundbreaking online travel project, featuring in-the-field interviews with local residents about the impact of tourism on host communities.

LPT visits destinations with an established or emerging tourism presence and interviews locals and expatriates to document their impressions of how tourism is affecting their towns, countries, cultures and lives. To date, interviews have been conducted in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos and Thailand.

Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries. Yet current media coverage of tourism is almost always one-sided, focusing on visitor impressions or on services available for tourists. LPT founder Sam Chen notes, “With international travel becoming ever more pervasive, understanding how host communities feel about tourism’s impact is integral for responsible and ethical tourism policies.” LPT seeks to diversify the global dialogue on international travel by including local perspectives.

Full-length interviews with locals can be read at http://www.localperspectives.net.

Authors Advise Quit Dieting and Get a Life(style)

Focusing on optimal health and losing excess body fat along with improving your body composition, not simply “weight-loss” must be the first objective of any diet.

New York, NY - August 04, 2011 -- Why do many dieters reach their weight goal, only to find that the pounds eventually return?

The problem is, that with most traditional diets, the behaviors that help people lose weight aren't the same as those that help them maintain their new body,” say Dian Griesel, Ph.D. and Tom Griesel, co-authors of the new book TurboCharged: Accelerate Your Fat Burning Metabolism, Get Lean Fast and Leave Diet and Exercise Rules in the Dust (April 2011, BSH).

New research from Dr. Christopher Sciamanna and a team of scientists from Penn State University (published in the August issue of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine) supports this thinking. Their study analyzed whether two distinct sets of thought patterns and behaviors were associated with initial weight-loss (losing 10 percent of your body weight in one year) and long-term weight management (maintaining the loss for one year).

Their random phone survey of 1,165 adults they found little similarity between the two. People who followed a consistent exercise routine and/or ate plenty of low-fat sources of protein were more likely to be successful in weight maintenance but not weight loss.

Those who did different kinds of exercises or meal planning were more likely to lose weight but not maintain the loss. They observed that the strategies associated only with weight-loss included participating in a diet program, looking for information about weight-loss, nutrition or exercise, limiting sugar intake, planning meals beforehand, avoiding skipped meals and thinking about how much better you feel when you are thinner. Yet, the strategies associated only with weight-loss maintenance included eating plenty of low-fat protein, following a consistent exercise routine, rewarding yourself for sticking to your eating plan, and reminding yourself why you need to control your weight.

So what is the answer? According to the Griesels, “Focusing on optimal health and losing excess body fat along with improving your body composition, not simply “weight-loss” must be the first objective of any diet. Whenever the short-term and long-term method and goal are not the same, failure and frustration are right around the corner.”

TurboCharged® is a groundbreaking 8-Step program that defies common weight-loss theories. It successfully delivers body-defining rapid fat loss, accelerates metabolism, and improves health and odds of longevity without gimmicks, supplements or special equipment. Common sense and a desire to be lean are all that is required for success at any age.

Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust Provides Recommendations for Obtaining Prenuptial Agreements

As modern day issues continue to complicate the marriage and divorce process in the U.S., Gibraltar Private Bank has outlined four basic recommendations that will help people better understand the value of prenuptial agreements and discuss their appropriateness with their significant other.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - August 3, 2011 -- As modern day issues continue to complicate the marriage and divorce process in the U.S., Gibraltar Private Bank (http://www.gibraltarprivate.com) has outlined four basic recommendations that will help people better understand the value of prenuptial agreements and discuss their appropriateness with their significant other.

In today’s world, saying “I do” is not as simplistic as it used to be. Multiple marriages, same-sex marriages, children from prior relationships, and even death have brought further complications to the questions that surround estate division. These issues have raised perplexing questions within the legal and financial planning community.

To address these concerns, a prenuptial agreement is a helpful tool as the process benefits couples by helping them define their expectations for the marriage, establish a responsible approach to estate planning, and learn more about each other’s attitudes toward money. Disagreements about these issues after marriage can be a leading factor in divorce.

To help your agreement (and relationship) stand the test of time, consider these general recommendations:

1. Plan ahead. Prenuptial agreements reached just before the wedding can later be considered as coercive or signed under duress and, thus, unenforceable. Bring up the topic as soon as you can, before things get too serious - a minimum of 12 months before marriage.

2. Disclose your assets and liabilities. While the state of Florida doesn't require you to disclose assets before marrying, divorce courts may not enforce premarital agreements that lack full financial disclosure. You can help reduce this risk by attaching a schedule of assets and liabilities to the agreement. Couples should include income and expenses, because the more transparency the better. Make an annual exercise of reviewing your financial picture.

3. Seek independent counsel. Key factors surrounding the enforceability of a prenuptial agreement are whether it was A) “fair and reasonable” at the time it was executed, and B) entered into voluntarily. Having separate legal representation during the drafting of the agreement will help support these considerations.

4. Decide on a jurisdiction. This factor is critical in international marriages or when you have assets in different locales, because laws vary among not only countries, but also U.S. states. A properly drafted prenuptial agreement will include the choice of law to be applied so as to avoid rendering the contract null and void.

The IAPAM is helping physicians enter this lucrative market by offering dermatologist-led Botox Training in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 17-18, 2011. Physicians will learn everything they need to start offering Botox and other in-demand aesthetic medicine procedures.

Las Vegas, NV, August 03, 2011 -- The number of patients turning to minimally invasive cosmetic procedures like: Botox (http://www.iapam.com/botox-training), dermal filler injections, lasers for skin rejuvenation (http://www.iapam.com/aesthetic-medicine-training/laser-training), medical microdermabrasion, and chemical peels continues to increase. To assist physicians in entering the aesthetic medicine field, the Aesthetic Medicine Symposium (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com) was designed by physicians for physicians, and has integrated the most important clinical, aesthetic medicine business, and botox training into one weekend, including:

- dedicated instruction from board-certified dermatologists, who are true experts of the skin and cosmetic injectables;
- hands-on practice in the best injection techniques;
- botox training at a multi-million dollar medical practice, not in a hotel room; and

Most hCG Studies do not Strictly Follow the Simeons hCG Protocol

The IAPAM is committed to educating physicians in the industry’s best practices for hCG for weight loss. In support of this commitment, the IAPAM's hCG Training offers physicians an hCG Training program of unsurpassed clinical and business content on hCG and medical weight management. The IAPAM's hCG Protocol truly works for patients trying to loose weight, and the IAPAM has noted that the few studies which have found that hCG offers no benefit over placebo for weight loss do not always follow the Simeons Protocol precisely.

Las Vegas, NV, August 02, 2011 -- In February 2011, the Dr. Oz Show showcased hCG for weight loss and Dr. Oz concluded that, "there are some real legitimate folks out there who seem to have success with this," hCG protocol. Dr. Oz further commented, in his June 2011 interview for Women's First Magazine, that, even though some studies have not been supportive regarding hCG for weight loss, "sometimes it's because the science hasn't caught up. When we see real people do things that work, we in the medical profession have to pay attention." The evidence is overwhelming, hCG for weight loss is working for patients.

hCG for Weight Loss Works

The IAPAM (http://www.iapam.com) agrees. The hCG Protocol, first reported in the 1950's by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, in his manuscript, Pounds and Inches, is very specific, and requires strict adherence and physician supervision to achieve successful weight loss results in patients. In reviewing many of the studies that have been completed since the 1960's, it appears that many of these trials did not follow the Simeons Protocol exactly. Physicians, who have reviewed the studies, have commented that they "were small studies and not rigorously controlled." Moreover, many of "the studies done on hCG in the literature were not undertaken by physicians trained on the hCG diet, and/or the "studies did not look at some of the touted benefits of hCG, such as how people feel on the diet, how and where they lose weight, and the success rates of people taking hCG."

The IAPAM's hCG Training program (http://www.aestheticmedicinesymposium.com/physician-hcg-weight-loss-training) has been designed to give physicians "everything they need to start offering hCG and medical weight loss programs to their patients," immediately upon returning to their practices. The IAPAM seminar includes:

- A detailed overview of the exclusive IAPAM hCG Protocol & best practices;
- Understanding of VLCD/LCD diet programs;
- Patient selection criteria;
- Common medical contraindications;
- Current FDA status & requirements;
- Legal/Insurance considerations and special access to hCG Medical Malpractice Insurance Program;
- hCG and Weight Loss Practice Advertising & Marketing Tips and Strategies;
- Patient hCG Program book to offer patients (with hCG friendly recipes, a food journal, tips, etc.);
- Weight Management Practice Operational Manual;
- Patient PowerPoint presentations for the waiting room;
- Phone scripts & call logs for staff;
- hCG ordering information and special pricing;

Russian URALCHEM and Latvian Riga Commercial Port to build a new terminal on the Baltic Sea

The terminal will be built using latest technologies and the transshipment and storage of fertilisers will be made in enclosed facilities, providing environmental protection and safety for the residents of Riga.

Moscow, Russia - August 02, 2011 -- Riga City Council on July 26th issued a permit for the construction of a terminal for handling and storage of fertilisers - a joint project between URALCHEM Freight Limited (part of the URALCHEM holding) and SIA Rigas tirdzniecibas osta - RIGA COMMERCIAL PORT (RTO, Riga, Latvia). The total investment level will amount to about $ 70 million. The launch of the first phase with a capacity of 2 million tons per year is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2013.

URALCHEM Freight Limited and RTO entered into an agreement to build the terminal in 2009. For the purposes of implementing the project, the two companies set up Riga Fertiliser Terminal Limited, 51% of which belongs to the URALCHEM holding company and 49% to RTO. Currently the design stage of the project is nearing completion. Construction work is scheduled to begin in September 2011. The facility will occupy 12 hectares of the territory of Free Port of Riga.

Dmitry Konyaev, CEO of URALCHEM, OJSC, commented: "The terminal is one of the priority projects for the company. We deliver our export shipments by sea, so creating our own transshipment facilities on the Baltic Sea will enhance the company's position in the global market and optimize our logistics flows, reduce transport costs and ensure greater flexibility to meet the demands of end consumers."

"The project to build a specialized transshipment terminal is a good example of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian merchants and the cargo port of Riga. We expect to attract investments of tens of millions of dollars, including EU funding," said Ralph Klavins, ?hairman of the board of directors of RIGA COMMERCIAL PORT.

The terminal will be built using latest technologies and the transshipment and storage of fertilisers will be made in enclosed facilities, providing environmental protection and safety for the residents of Riga.
